Finally, the listener perceives further motif-unfoldments, and ever more motif-unfoldments; and gradually he begins to identify himself with these other motif-unfoldments, too he notices how he treads several musical paths of knowledge simultaneously. |

In this manner, the listener makes the personal experience of a social being. Within himself he makes the experience of an entire community of individuals in the process of gaining knowledge. And through this he learns to make more and more individual experiences simultaneously, to relate them to each other and to unify them. |

On the level of the musical sequence-space, the fires of cognition burn with that brightness which individuals spread everywhere in the happy communion with their fellow men. One is reminded of the shining eyes of lovers as they become aware of their manifold mutual affection. But often in the sequence-spaces one also sees with the eyes of a father who follows the doings of his children with shining eyes. |

In the sequence-spaces the listener now lives these musical cognitive paths of a social community of individuals. He experiences them musically in the simultaneous development of very distinct melodies he experiences them in the musical world of the polyphony. |
