UNIVERSAL MUSIC THEORY 2
The Practical Fundamentals of Universal Cognition
.

PART   IV

THE LIVING EXAMPLE OF THE MUSICAL COGNITION OF TRUTH

The Process of Musical Consideration

Two kinds of cognition are known to man:
cognizing the multiplicity by virtue of the understanding, and
cognizing the unity by virtue of the feeling; and, in addition, cognition exists in the integrated form of these two paths.

Feeling and Understanding on the Musical Path of Cognition

It is a feature of musical cognition on the level of our understanding that it brings us joy and enlivens us.
Cognition here means higher cognition – to which the listener climbs as if on steps.

The Nature of Intellectual Cognition in Music

The increase of joy comes about because more intelligence is released within us as we comprehend higher musical orders on our way to higher cognition.

Greater Alertness in the Tools of Cognition of the Music Listener

As this intellectual process of cognition proceeds, music places our tools of cognition into a state of greater alertness because it makes us use more of our own intelligence.

Thus, our potential of intelligence is systematically released which increases the purity of its cognitive function, and the result is a brighter radiance of the objects of knowledge of a higher musical order.

The Nourishment of the Musical Tools of Cognition

As we cognize higher musical orders, our tools of cognition register an influx of manifold nourishment, and it appears to us as if our inner tools of cognition would feed through many mouths.

The Nature of Musical Cognition on the Level of the Feeling

It is characteristic for musical cognition on the level of our feeling to bring us happiness and strength.
In this case, cognition means that we climb the steps of gaining knowledge with our feeling.

The increase of our sensation of happiness comes about because the musical forces of cognition, which we music listeners catch with our net of knowledge in the waters of higher musical orders, shine brighter and brighter the deeper we enter the true world of music.
In this process, we release within ourselves higher and higher energies for our emotional cognition of the higher musical orders.

The Practical Application of Energy in the Tools of Cognition

So, quite logically, we feel more and more energetic as our emotional process of gaining knowledge in music proceeds.

And when, eventually, we have reached the realm of the harmony, we even recognize ourselves as the natural expression of pure energy. At the same time, with the capabilities of our understanding, we think we are the natural expression of pure intelligence.
